People are illogical, unreasonable, and self-centered.
Love them anyway.
If you do good, people will accuse you of selfish ulterior motives.
Do good anyway.
If you are successful, you will win false friends and true enemies.
Succeed anyway.
The good you do today will be forgotten tomorrow.
Do good anyway.
Honesty and frankness make you vulnerable.
Be honest and frank anyway.
The biggest men and women with the biggest ideas can be shot down by the smallest men and women with the smallest minds.
Think big anyway.
People favor underdogs but follow only top dogs.
Fight for a few underdogs anyway.
What you spend years building may be destroyed overnight.
Build anyway.
People really need help but may attack you if you do help them.
Help people anyway.
Give the world the best you have and you'll get kicked in the teeth.
Give the world the best you have anyway.
You see, in the final analysis, it is between you and your God;
It was never between you and them anyway.

Quotes of the Day: Day 2
YM: "Today, we escape"
[I've been listening to a lot of Radiohead recently, and this is the lyrics to one of their songs, called 'Exit Music (for a film)'. Insanely sweet. Give it a listen.]
Happy Friday Folks.

Quotes of the Day: Day 1
YM: "i am the eggman. you are the eggman. i am the walrus. koo koo katchoo."
YM: "I need a distraction. Now."
YM: "for tomorrow's exams i want to answer "I cannot answer this question, as it is against my religious principles" for a question tomorrow, let's test professor wittig's sense of humor. :P"
(I'm in a random-ish sort of mood today. Hence, my random status)
Since this is the first part of the series, I thought i'd share what my teacher posted on my facebook wall. It's too long for a yahoo messenger or facebook status. So this is probably the best place for me to post it.
"To do all that you want to do does not always require wealth...
Just truck loads of passion,
extra in-built hours,
an unquenchable desire to educate yourself,
a bottomless pit of sacrifice and,
a work smart attitude,
(These things) will drive you in the direction of your dreams...
Be the kind of man the mirror likes to see...
any mirror...
not the ones that give you flattering looks only -
but that of a strong, brave, God-loving,
multi-talented, multi-faceted
and dependable guy whom all will believe in.
Before you know it,
you wil be self-driven and your dreams for yourself will eventuate =)
Providence' way of telling you:
your time is here to do what you desire
and make the Man you want to see in yourself
and be to others."
I leave it open to your interpretation.
Yours Fishfully,
Little Fishy
p.s. muse's awesome influence strikes again, as I am once again hooked to one helluva song, in "Resistance". I've been repeating this song on my media player playlist for a while. Right now, I feel like making a cover with me on bass, lead, drums, synth and piano. Tamak much? I know, but it's just one of those things that I just absolutely have to do. Enjoy:

Let's reinvent this blog now shall we?
It's been a long time since my last post. Sometimes I feel bad for not updating this blog, because i've been doing so many exciting stuff that I would like to share with the rest of the world, but never got around to actually doing so, because of this disease that I suffer from, called "laziness".
Besides, I think my real passion for writing is somewhere along the lines of short, memorable quotes that sum my emotions/thoughts for the day.
So, without further ado, I am now starting a new series on this blog, called quotes of the day, which is basically, the quotes that I put up as my status on facebook/yahoo messenger. (and then some miscellaneous stuff, that have to do with life)

A Person:
The Person
I am the person
Who sits next to you in class.
I am the person
Who is a bit overweight.
I am the person
Who is laughed at because I am short.
I am the person
Who is picked on because I like computers.
I am the person
Who talks with an accent.
I am the person
Who is always to blame.
I am the person
Who takes the bus home in fear.
But I am also the person
Who is brave enough to wake up
And do it again the next day.
—Jeanette Juarez, Butner Stem
p.s. That haiku that i wrote the other day, made me laugh. What a pathetic attempt at haiku. haha

Snow Day: Several Haiku
Falling H20,
Snow when frozen, rain when not,
Often clear, rarely white
Slowly snow sweeps streets,
Enveloping a pure white,
Leaving none untouched,
Frozen, freezing path,
Blanket embraced me 'till one,
Frosted Flakes for lunch.
Growl Grumble Squirk Squeak,
My stomach weeps in hunger,
"Fill me up", she cries.
(to be cont'd)

Hey Jude by Joe Anderson (ost. Across the Universe, originally by The Beatles)
Hey Jude don't make it bad
Take a sad song and make it better
Remember to let her into your heart
Then you can start to make it better
Hey Jude don't be afraid
You were made to go out and get her
The minute you let her under your skin
Then you begin to make it better
And any time you feel the pain, Hey Jude, refrain
Don't carry the world upon your shoulders
For well you know that it's a fool who plays it cool
By making his world a little colder
Na na na na na
na na na na
Hey Jude don't let me down
You have found her now go and get her
Remember to let her into your heart
Then you can start to make it better
So let it out and let it in
Hey Jude begin
You're waiting for someone to perform with
And don't you know that it's just you
Hey Jude you'll do
The movement you need is on your shoulder
Na na na na na
na na na na Yeah
Hey Jude don't make it bad
Take a sad song and make it better
Remember to let her under your skin
Then you'll begin to make it better
Better, better, better, better, better, Yeah,Yeah,Yeah
Na Na Na Na Na Na Na
Na Na Na Na, Hey Jude!
Just a song that I was humming tonight. I just realized the beauty of this song and its lyrics in its simplicity. Somehow, The Beatles knew what to expect 40+ years ahead when they wrote this song, which is still extremely relevant in today's ever-changing world.
Before I forget to mention, Across the Universe is a musical-movie worth watching especially for you movie and music aficionados. I loved it. So will you :)
Enjoy:
